Celebrate Black History Month this February with an exhibit of photographs
from our historic image collections.

Take a look at south Florida’s gloriously diverse plant and animal life, and learn how we humans have used and abused our natural environment. This exhibit features a sampling of the Historical Society’s collections, from photographs to furniture, from artifacts to art.

Panorama of the Past

This three-gallery exhibition aims to provide an overview of the entire history of the Fort Lauderdale area. Topics and artifacts range from early native peoples and Spanish explorers to the F.E.C. Railway to the Spring Break craze of the 1960s. Both visitors and native Fort Lauderdalians will learn something new about our city’s history.

New River Inn Visitor's Room, 1908

This exhibition, underwritten by Barbara Wells and the Riverside Hotel, is open on the first floor of the New River Inn. See where Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson of Uhrichsville, Ohio may have stayed on any of their 36 winter vacations at the New River Inn.
