Margo Edwards came to Fort Lauderdale in June 2007 from her hometown of Atlanta. She holds a B.A. in history and chemistry from Rice University and a M.A. in museum studies from George Washington University. Before coming to Florida she was the Curator of Exhibits for Avient Museum Services in Atlanta, developing exhibits for the Georgia Capitol Museum, Emory University’s Woodruff Library, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. She has also worked and interned at a variety of museums including the Atlanta History Center, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of American History, and the Woodrow Wilson House Museum. Her academic specialty is the history of the American South. |
