Fort Lauderdale Historical Society teams up with the City for Walk Historical Fort Lauderdale

Are you a lover of history and looking to get in shape?

The Fort Lauderdale Historical Society (FLHS), in collaboration with the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department will host Walk Historical Fort Lauderdale on March 9th from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the FLHS.

Enjoy a guided walk through the historic district, learn about Fort Lauderdale’s beginning and the history of Cooley’s Landing. Also featured at the event will be Civil War encampments from the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the 10th Tennessee Reenactors. FLHS will provide tours of their 1905 New River Inn Museum of History, 1907 King-Cromartie House and 1899 Replica Schoolhouse.
